Harvest stitch Crochet Switch Case
This switch case is made in the harvest stitch which has been modified slightly for the round.
NOTES:
You will need to know how to crochet the (7 loop) puff stitch.
MATERIALS:
You can use any yarn and any hook to make a case but this particular pattern uses a 6mm hook and Hayfield Spirit chunky yarn in “Casper”.
PATTERN:
Round 1:
Ch 28 and join to first ch with a sl st to form a loop.
Round 2:
sc in all 28 st then join to first st with sl t
Round 3:
Ch 3, dc into next st, (sk 2 st, puff stitch into next st, ch2, puff stitch into the same st. Sk 2 st, dc into the next 2 st) x 3
Sk 2 st, puff stitch into next st, ch 2, puff stitch into same st. Sl st to the 3rd ch from the ch 3 at the beginning of the round.
Round 4 (repeating round):
Ch 3, dc into next st, (puff stitch into ch2 space from previous row, ch2, puff stitch again into ch2 space, dc into next 2 st) x 3
Puff stitch into ch2 space from previous round, ch2, puff stitch again into ch2 space. Sl st to the 3rd ch from the ch3 at the beginning of the round
Repeat this round until the case is as tall as you want it to be. For the Nintendo switch, I repeated it until the case was made of 14 rows in total.
Finishing up:
Turn the sleeve inside out and flatten the bottom of it until the foundation ch from the first round are lined up in pairs.
Sc through 2 ch at a time until you’ve closed up the hole at the bottom.
You should have 14 st in total.
Weave in loose ends then turn the case the right way around.
ABBREVIATIONS:
ch - chain
sc - single crochet
st - stitch
sl st - slip stitch
sk - skip
dc - double crochet
And now you have a Nintendo switch case! I can’t wait to see all the differnt colours you choose. Please feel free to tag me in any videos or pictures you post of the case you make :)
